New Orleans Airlift is a federal 501c3 nonprofit - funds donated via ticketing and other giving support our mission to collaborate to inspire wonder, connect communities and foster opportunities through arts education and the creation of experimental public artworks. Your ticket and any other funds donated on site support our public programs and help to ensure access for those who wouldn’t otherwise be able to experience the Music Box Village.
Artists and musicians are compensated out of ticket sales for the hard work that goes into the creation and rehearsal of new performances - so we are unable to provide refunds in most instances.
- Please note, it is our policy not to offer refunds for performances that are rescheduled due to inclement weather.
If you can’t use your ticket, we suggest you:
- Transfer, give or sell your ticket to a friend by sending them a PDF of your Eventbrite ticket
- Come to collect a paper ticket good for use at another show, or request a credit by emailing email@example.com.
If you would like to contact us about a special situation, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Music Box Village is a one-of-a-kind, artist-built sonic sculpture garden. Our musical architecture is built on site from various resourced materials and as such, is not up to playground grade safety standards. While we invite exploration and play, children must be supervised at all times due to the delicate nature of our instruments.
- We ask that visiting groups consist of a minimum of one adult per three children to ensure adequate supervision.
- Children under 16 are not allowed without a parent or guardian.
- Children under three do not need tickets to performances in the Music Box Village.
Food and Beverage +
The Music Box Village has a bar offering craft cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic selections. Happy hour specials are offered from 4-6PM.
We kindly request that you do not bring in outside beverages.
We often host local food pop-ups throughout the season. Check our calendar for details prior to your visit.
If you are interested in becoming a food vendor at the Music Box Village, please contact us.
Art Markets +
Our "Music Box" Market is a great opportunity to become immersed in New Orleans art - from our conceptual and experimental sonic sculpture garden to the 40+ vendors exhibiting handmade, vintage, and repurposed functional and fine art options.
We host four seasonal Markets each year, two each season:
- Spring: Mardi Gras & Easter Markets
- Fall: Halloween & Holiday Markets
- Check our calendar for exact dates and times.
Market days are free to attend! We ask you to leave your dogs at home as the Market can be too crowded for pups.
Many of the houses in the Village are accessible during Markets but several are roped off as a courtesy to our vendors who are set-up throughout the site, often close to the speakers and instruments. Want to explore more fully? Visit us during our regular hours.
For vendor information and sign up, contact Imogen Banks at TheMusicBoxMarket@gmail.com.
The Music Box Village is an outdoor contemporary art site. We kindly ask that you smoke outside of the Village. There are ash cans placed just beyond the entrance gate.
